Installation Instructions

• Safety Precautions

  • Ensure the truck is parked on a flat, stable surface.
  • Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and safety glasses.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical hazards. 

• Tools Required

  • Wrenches and sockets
  • Screwdrivers
  • Torque wrench
  • Fuel line disconnect tool
  • Jack and stands
  • Thread sealant or Teflon tape

Installation Steps

• 1. Remove the Old Fuel Tank

  • Drain the fuel from the old tank via the drain port or by using a siphon pump.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines, electrical connectors, and any mounting straps or brackets.
  • Carefully lower the old tank and remove it from the truck.

• 2. Prepare the New Fuel Tank

  • Inspect the new tank for any damage or debris.
  • Install any fittings, sensors, or accessories as required.
  • Use thread sealant or Teflon tape to ensure a tight seal. 

• 3. Mount the New Fuel Tank

  • Position the new tank in place. Use a jack if necessary to lift it.
  • Attach the mounting straps or brackets to secure the tank.
  • Ensure all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications using a torque wrench.

• 4. Connect Fuel Lines and Electrical Connectors

  • Reconnect the fuel lines to the new tank.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
  • Reattach any electrical connectors for fuel sensors or pumps.

• 5. Test for Leaks

  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Add a small amount of fuel to the new tank.
  • Start the truck and check for any leaks in the connections and fittings.
  • If no leaks are detected, fill the tank to the desired level.

• 6. Final Checks

  • Ensure the tank is securely mounted and all connections are properly tightened.
  • Check the operation of the fuel gauge and other related systems.
