What aluminum tanks does AlumiTank make for Peterbilt?

We offer cylindrical, rectangular, and split tanks for Peterbilt. Cylindrical tanks come in 23", 26", and 29" diameters (the 29" is available with flat end caps), in lengths up to 85" weld-to-weld.

Does the year of my Peterbilt matter when ordering a tank?

Yes, and it's important. Peterbilt changed its fuel system design in mid-2006. Trucks built before 2006 use a bottom-draw setup with a threaded drop-in draw tube and a 1" crossover. Trucks built after mid-2006 use a top-draw “quad” configuration with welded draw and return tubes and domed end caps. Always tell us your truck's year so we match the right design.

I have a 2006 or 2007 Peterbilt — which design do I need?

2006 and 2007 were transition years, and some trucks were built with both the older bottom-draw and newer top-draw ports. Check which configuration your truck is actually using — if you see both, note which one is connected — and let us know when you order.

Can I get a split tank for my Peterbilt?

Yes. Our Peterbilt split tanks can be built to mirror the OEM configuration — three #32 SAE flanges, a #32 SAE draw casting, and a 1/2" drain port — or with our simplified AT Split design for the hydraulic side. The fuel side is a direct OEM replacement either way.

Do you make Peterbilt tanks ready for a fuel heater?

Yes. For Arctic Fox heaters, we cut a 6"x6" square plate mounting layout (after pressure testing) so you can install a new heater or reuse your existing one. We don't supply the heater itself.

What finishes are available for Peterbilt tanks?

Polished is available on cylindrical Peterbilt tanks, and Milgrade is available on both cylindrical and rectangular tanks.
