What aluminum tanks does AlumiTank make for Mack?

We offer cylindrical, rectangular, and D-shape tanks for Mack. Cylindrical diameters include 22.25", 24" (common on R-Model Macks), 25.25", and 26", in lengths up to 90" weld-to-weld.

Does the year of my Mack matter?

Yes. Mack and Volvo merged in 2001, and tank designs changed afterward. Older (pre-2001) R-Model Macks typically use a 4" or 3" ID fill neck vented through the cap, with a 1/2" NPT draw, a 3/8" NPT return flange, and a 5-hole SAE sender base. Newer Macks share Volvo-style fittings. Tell us your truck's year and whether it's an R-Model.

My Mack has Volvo-style fittings — can you build that?

Yes. Post-merger Macks often use the Volvo-style teardrop manifold. See our Volvo FAQ for that configuration, and just let us know your truck's year so we build the right setup.

What finishes are available for Mack tanks?

Polished is available on cylindrical tanks, and Milgrade is available on cylindrical, rectangular, and D-shape tanks.

What aluminum tanks does AlumiTank make for Volvo?

We offer cylindrical, rectangular, and D-shape tanks for Volvo. Cylindrical tanks — typically 26" diameter for Volvo-style fittings — run up to 90" weld-to-weld.

How are Volvo tanks plumbed?

Post-2001 Volvo-style cylindrical tanks use a teardrop manifold that integrates a 3" UN fill neck, a 5-hole SAE sending unit, and a 1/2" NPT vent port. D-shape Volvo tanks use the same port configuration but with individual fittings instead of the manifold.

My truck is a Mack — should I use this page?

Mack and Volvo merged in 2001, so newer Macks often use these Volvo-style fittings. If your Mack is post-2001, this configuration may apply. Check our Mack FAQ as well, and tell us your truck's year so we confirm the right design.
